I seem to have been drawing at gigs alot recently. Here are some pictures of the audience in Cafe Kino at the Tennis Coats gig.
Steve and the others from the lovely I KNOW I HAVE NO COLLAR
And here are THE TENNIS COATS!
And WILL NEWSOME too!
It was a lovely gig. You can read a review of it HERE
And then I did this poster for another Kino gig...
A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to have fun running some activities at Arnolfini's monthly "We are Family" day.
The activities were inspired by the current exhibitons: Michael Dean's "Introduction of Muscle", which consists of installations and sculptures which visitors are invited to experience through touch and include 3 dimensional fonts.
One of the activities was to feel inside the box and draw what the hidden object felt like! This made for a valuable lesson in drawing texture and shape and also using imagination to draw.
The tie-dye washing line activity was inspired by Mierle Laderman's "domestic" conceptual art projects and photographs.
